Seitron: Made in Italy solutions for emissions monitoring
In the face of increasingly stringent regulations, exhaust gas analysis from industrial plants is undoubtedly a highly topical issue in the field of climate and health protection. However, sampling and monitoring gases emitted by industrial processes is also crucial for assessing combustion system efficiency, as well as safety.
Often performed in extreme environments characterized by high humidity, high temperatures, and the presence of dust from flue gases, accurate measurements are essential to verify the extent and quality of combustion. Whether for performance optimization or compliance with new regulations, emissions monitoring is a key aspect in assessing the efficiency of an industrial plant.
However, emissions are not all the same. Each plant has its own unique characteristics, which must be taken into account when selecting the right instruments. For this reason, Seitron, the leading Italian manufacturer of combustion analyzers, has developed versatile and customizable products to meet specific needs. All Seitron analyzers are designed and manufactured in Italy to ensure high-quality, compact, robust and easy-to-use instruments.
The Chemist portable range for industrial emissions analysis
Unlike continuous analyzers, which are typically fixed units that take measurements from a single sampling point, a portable analyzer is more versatile and flexible. In fact, the portable analyzers in the Chemist range allow for quick and more precise identification of the sources of high emissions and equipment performance inefficiencies.
The Chemist portable combustion analyzer can be used in a wide variety of applications; wherever combustion processes occur, the Chemist analyzer is a valuable ally for reducing waste and maximizing energy efficiency in applications such as:
- Chemical Industries
- Research Laboratories
- Biogas Plants
- Industrial Engines and Burners
- Waste-to-Energy Plants and Incinerators
- Cement Plants
In particular, the Chemist 600 and Chemist 600 Be Green are compact and easy-to-handle instruments that allow for the simultaneous measurement of up to 6 gases in the main fields of application. The Chemists comply with the EN 50379-1, EN 50379-2, and UNI 10389-1 standards. The Be Green version combines reliability with the elimination of paper printing: via Bluetooth connection, data and analyses can be sent to the convenient Chemist Smart Analysis app, which allows for further data processing and expands the instrument’s capabilities. The Chemist range analyzers are equipped with an external condensation trap with dust filters and allow measurements up to 100,000 ppm of CO thanks to a suction pump and a second dilution pump for the collected gas sample. Comastri Davide is able to supply the Chemist 600 X, that is, the version with a basic configuration, and which can be equipped with the various sensors and accessories desired.
The Novo Combustion Analyzer
The Seitron Novo portable combustion analyzer is the ideal solution for monitoring industrial burner processes, maximizing combustion efficiency and facilitating the easy and efficient setup, installation, and repair of any burner.
The Novo combustion analyzer, which can be equipped with up to four gas sensors, is designed to make combustion and flue gas analysis extremely intuitive, fast, accurate, and cost-effective. Thanks to a 7″ touchscreen and a single dedicated probe with a monoblock connector for draft, flue gas, and temperature, the operator can simultaneously monitor standard combustion control measurements and gas valve pressure. The Novo also features a removable condensation trap and a single high- and low-range sensor that automatically adjusts the scale based on the detected gas concentration, ensuring accurate readings and convenient maintenance.
The Novo analyzer also meets the diverse needs of operators who must perform analyses in compliance with current regulations. The device, with all its customizations, allows you to perform detections such as:

The Novo can be equipped with the innovative PRO Mode, which allows you to conveniently display combustion parameter indicators in graphs, helping you monitor whether the parameters are aligned with ideal combustion. The collected data and graphs can also be printed or emailed, making it easy to share reports.
Monitoring Emissions in Industrial Plants
Industrial plants emit fumes containing polluting gases such as CO, NO, NO2, NOx, and hydrocarbons (CxHy) along with particulate matter. Post-combustion gas measurement values can be used to:
- Fine-tune the process and optimize its performance and safety
- Timely identify interventions on systems necessary for regulatory compliance on emissions
To perform these gas measurements in industrial plants, Seitron offers, in addition to the aforementioned Novo, Chemist 600, and 600 Be Green, the Chemist 900, Seitron’s most comprehensive analyzer. It can measure up to nine gases simultaneously, plus an additional three with additional equipment.
The Chemist 600, Chemist 600 Be Green, and the Novo can be used to monitor all gases involved in combustion in industrial plants, including NOx and CxHy, and analyze their relationship. Understanding the relationship between NOx gases and other combustion wastes (such as hydrocarbons) is essential for achieving the right balance between combustion, maintenance, safety, and environmental protection, as well as for allowing plant supervisors to achieve ideal combustion.
